Courtney Sgambelluri, Posture Therapist
Courtney grew up playing sports and watching people’s lives transform by her dad. He worked with athletes and people getting them out of pain through Postural Therapy.
When she began college and her lifestyle changed: She was more sedentary. Before she knew it, she had pain; low back, foot & shoulder pain. She was scared and confused because doctors were unable to help with her pain. She eventually searched out alternatives, which led her back to her roots, of Postural Therapy.
Her dad invited her to try some of the postural alignment exercises and explained that pain had to do with her alignment (i.e., my posture). Like most children, she ignored him, until it got to the point where the pain was affecting her happiness and wellbeing. She gave in and started doing a personalized exercises and menu of exercise he created for her. The pain lessened and eventually went away completely. This made her CURIOUS. .
After reading about Posture Therapy in Pain Free, by founder Pete Egoscue, she thought, "Why isn't this common knowledge?". She shadowed her dad and other Postural Therapists. She saw how postural therapy was magic and overtime patient that came in was helped. She was a strong believer and became passionate to learn.
She finished her undergrad degree at Gonzaga University and immediately enrolled in Egoscue University® to study Posture Therapy. There, she completed my Posture Analysis Specialist (PAS) I and II certifications. She then worked as a Posture Therapist at Egoscue Headquarters in San Diego, CA where she learned from Pete Egoscue and the other senior therapists.
Now in Boston, She still loves being a Postural Therapist. She's excited to be a part of the Integrative Health team at WellFit Studio and she is excited to have the opportunity to work with you. Both Courtney and WFS believe postural therapy is the best way to live pain free for the rest of you life. Please see out Resource page and FAQs for more information.
